Nature of the service

CQASE assesses institutions against its own published standards through a voluntary private quality assurance process. CQASE is not a statutory accreditation authority. Its recognition does not grant degree-awarding powers, legal recognition of qualifications, professional licensing or approval of individual programmes.

Applications and decisions

Submitting an application is not acceptance, accreditation or membership. Scope, fees and the applicable framework are confirmed in writing. The institution is responsible for accurate statements, rights to share evidence and lawful operation. Material omissions or false evidence may lead to rejection, suspension or withdrawal. Fees pay for completed assessment work and do not guarantee a positive decision.

Public status and permitted claims

Only a currently active, published record authorises a CQASE status claim. A member may say “Institutional member of CQASE”, linking to its record. An accredited institution may say “Institutionally accredited by CQASE”, with the scope and validity accessible through the record. Neither claim may imply state approval or programme accreditation. Marks must be removed when status is suspended, withdrawn or expired.

Complaints, correction and cancellation

See the complaints and appeals procedure for review rights and the fee schedule for cancellation terms. The final service agreement will identify the contracting parties, scope, timing, confidentiality, governing law and dispute arrangements before payment.

The standards and templates can be used for institutional self-assessment with attribution to CQASE. Reuse must not imply affiliation, accreditation or endorsement.
