Accreditation process
The accreditation process
Know what happens at each stage, what you need to prepare and how your status is maintained.
01Before applying
Check eligibility
Confirm your legal status and authority to provide education. Have one delivered teaching example and genuine learner feedback. No fixed operating history is required. Institutions preparing to start teaching can consider membership.
02Eligibility review: target 5 working days
Submit your application
Identify the institution, its locations and delivery modes. Map the evidence to A01–A06 and provide an authorised declaration. We check scope and completeness before issuing an invoice.
03Before substantive assessment
Confirm the review scope
Agree the included institution, locations, review timetable and fee in writing. The €190 eligibility fee forms part of the €490 initial fee. The remaining €300 is due only after eligibility and scope are accepted.
04Target 4–6 weeks from a complete file
Evidence review & verification
A reviewer checks public sources, policies and representative operational records. A short remote call is requested only where the evidence needs clarification. Reviewers verify all findings.
05No award while requirements remain unmet
Respond to findings
Receive a requirement-by-requirement report. Correct factual errors within 10 working days. Where gaps remain, submit an action plan and corrective evidence within an agreed period, normally up to 60 calendar days. One follow-up review is included.
06Target 10 working days after review closes
Receive a reasoned decision
An authorised decision-maker who did not conduct the review confirms the outcome: accredited, deferred for further evidence, or declined. The written decision explains the scope, evidence and appeal route.
07Annual monitoring · renewal every 3 years
Maintain your status
An award is valid for three years subject to annual monitoring. A public record shows its exact scope and dates. Submit an annual update, report material changes within 30 days and apply for renewal at least 90 days before expiry.
Timelines are service targets, not guarantees. They pause when evidence or a response is outstanding. Complex reviews require an agreed timetable before any additional work.
