Represent the institution accurately
Keep the legal identity, website, educational descriptions and public learner terms accurate. Identify the body awarding any qualification and explain its actual recognition. Do not imply government approval, professional licensing or accreditation that the institution does not hold.
Give CQASE information that the authorised representative can stand behind. If a submitted statement later proves materially incorrect, identify the error and provide a correction rather than waiting for the next annual update.
Use membership wording responsibly
While the record is active, an institution may use “Institutional member of CQASE” with a link to its public entry. The claim must relate to the entity or unit in that entry and remain within its validity dates.
Do not describe membership as accreditation, programme approval or legal recognition of qualifications. Do not issue CQASE status to another institution or use a membership mark on documents in a way that suggests CQASE awarded a learner’s qualification. Correct or remove claims when membership becomes inactive.
Maintain the baseline and act on concerns
Continue to meet M01–M06, keep support and complaints channels operational and respond to reasonable verification requests. Report material changes to the institution, its permissions, educational activity or public identity within 30 days.
A concern about a member is considered against the membership requirements and recognition terms. The member should receive the grounds and an opportunity to respond, except where urgent action is needed. Suspension or withdrawal is reflected in the public register, and the published appeal route remains available.
Contribute to improvement
Choose one improvement for the next year and identify its owner and target date. A short paragraph is sufficient. At renewal, provide a short account of the work and next steps, including actions that were delayed or did not have the intended effect.
Sharing an anonymised improvement insight or example is voluntary; it is not required to join or renew. Sharing should respect confidentiality and the rights of the people involved. CQASE will seek agreement before publishing an institution’s example or identifying it in shared material.
