Review your record before expiry
Membership lasts for 12 months from the agreed activation date. Check the dates in your public record and start preparing the renewal update before expiry. The institution remains responsible for timely renewal even if a reminder is missed.
Confirm the legal name, registration number, website, authorised contact and scope. If a change affects the responsible entity or the education delivered, explain it rather than simply overwriting the old description.
Provide the annual update
Confirm that the institutional details, public information and membership-code acceptance remain current. Add links only where information has changed.
In a short paragraph, explain progress on the chosen improvement priority and what you plan to do next, with an owner and target date. If it is unfinished, explain the delay and revise the date. There is no formal annual report or mandatory case study; sharing examples for publication is optional.
Review, confirmation and payment
CQASE checks that the baseline requirements remain satisfied and asks for clarification where necessary. The renewal fee is €180 for a further 12 months. There is no automatic card charge, and payment does not resolve an outstanding eligibility issue.
The renewal confirmation records the next validity period. It does not upgrade membership into accreditation. Institutions seeking accreditation must complete that separate process and satisfy its evidence requirements.
Expiry, withdrawal and returning later
If membership is not renewed by the end of its term, the record expires and the institution must stop presenting itself as an active member. A historical record does not authorise an active membership claim.
An institution that chooses to leave should notify CQASE and remove current membership claims when its status ends. A later return requires confirmation of the applicable requirements and current details; paying an old invoice cannot automatically reactivate a withdrawn or suspended record.
