Eligible providers
Schools, colleges, universities, language schools, online academies, vocational and professional training organisations, adult education providers and corporate training units may apply. The applicant must describe what it currently delivers and identify who is legally responsible.
Membership is institutional. Individuals, informal groups without an accountable entity and businesses that cannot identify the education they provide do not fit this route. A trading name can appear in a description, but it does not replace the legal identity on the record.
The baseline before application
Have an official registration source, a working institutional website and an authorised contact. Public information should accurately describe the education offered, entry requirements, fees, cancellation and refund terms, support contacts and complaints process.
The institution also needs a privacy notice, a named quality lead and one improvement priority, the responsible person and a target date. A short paragraph in the application is enough. M01–M06 give the full evidence requirements.
New providers and corporate units
A provider can apply before it has delivered the teaching example and collected the learner feedback required for accreditation. It should state whether teaching has begun, which records already exist and which actions are planned. An improvement commitment must be realistic for its stage of development.
A corporate training unit should identify its parent company and the unit’s responsibilities, audience and activities. Its membership record covers that defined unit. Other companies in a group and unrelated parent-company services are not automatically included.
When to resolve an issue first
Incorrect legal details, inaccessible policies or unsupported statements about recognition should be corrected before applying. Where operating permissions are required, membership cannot substitute for obtaining them. A reviewer can request clarification, but acceptance is not automatic.
If the institution is uncertain about the appropriate entity or scope, contact CQASE with the legal name, website and a brief description of provision. Once the scope is clear, prepare the evidence against the six requirements and submit the application.
